Ligature is a weekend-long design symposium run entirely by University of Florida graphic design students. The weekend features talks and workshops with highly recognized guest designers. The exhibition and accompanying events are intended to motivate, inspire, and create greater design awareness throughout our community.
Our branding focused on ideation and process and the endless iterations it takes to get the final product. In design it is both about the journey and the end destination. This is why we photographed our class’s crumpled up iterations from past projects to create this year’s Ligature 25.
Frankie Ratford is a designer, lecturer, curator, facilitator, roadtripper based in Australia. She’s the Director of The Design Kids, which bridges the gap between college students and professionals in the Graphic Design industry.
Will Bryant is a professional goofball and illustrator based in Austin, TX. His work weaves together humor with commerce, fun, and positivity. No matter the medium, there is always a sense of exuberance at play with a colorful palette.
