Immersive Oak Park

By: Collin Ciell

Oak Park Stage is an immersive dinner theatre outside of Chicago. There is no main stage; rather, the plot unfolds all around the audience as they eat and drink. I felt that being immersed in the action like that adds depth and creates a different, engaging experience with the performance happening 360-degrees around you.Because of this “new dimension” the theatre has, I wanted to use a stereoscopic effect to give the illusion of dimension the flat design. For the logo, I wanted to represent the idea of being completely surrounded by everything. . The concentric rings of the chopped up circle denote the atmosphere of Oak Park Stage. Each half-circle is essentially a different part of the performance-taking place around the viewer.

Chicago Ice Company

By: Paige Carl

Oak Park Stage is a theater located in Chicago that hosts The Chicago Ice Company, a hypothetical figure skating company that functions in the same way that New York City Ballet does. For the photography and posters, I directed entire photo shoots myself. I handmade and styled most of the costumes, did the hair and makeup, and set up the backdrop and lighting area.

Digital Oak Park

By: Esteban Arturo

The premise of Oak Park Stage is to provide a space where contemporary producers and actors can bring audiences an elevated emotional experience in the theatre through the synthesis of human and motion graphic performance. Unlike a traditional theatre, where the actors interact with a physical space of sets and objects, here they seeks to minimizes the interaction with physical sets and props–relying on the interaction of actors with digital abstract displays.

Educational Oak Park

By: Dustin Tuliao

Oak Park Stage is a new theater opening in Chicago that focuses on bringing families together because we believe that happy families allow for a better community to come to be. Parks, theme parks, carnival and malls are all great activities for families to do together, it allows for a stronger bond but what it does not do is allow for a deeper creative and cranial connection between parents and their children. Having this connection leads to better and meaningful dinner table conversations. Our tagline “it’s something to talk about” is meant to highlight our theater’s ability to inspire conversations at the dinner table. Greek dramas dive in to many social and political challenges, and this is why Oak Park Stage is dedicated in reimagining these tragedies and making them more relatable to children. We rethink and rewrite the stories while preserving their teachings to inspire parents and kids. Through our plays we aim to connect the old and the new, the parents and the children, and the classic to the modern

YUCK

By: Shelby Barret

Yuck is a fuzzy indie band heavily inspired by 90’s shoegaze music. Erotic, melodic and with deeply rooted lyrics, the listener can easily get fall into an impervious stupor. For this project I wanted to make something that presents itself as something of this nature, something that gave off into this dizzy personality. The unique style of the band I wanted to reflect in the branding.

BAIO

By: Brandon Kocher

Concept Statement: Custom album artwork for independent artist Baio. Baio’s music has colorful abstract sounds constantly bouncing in and out of his mix. This album cover seeks to visually translate that into a colorful artwork composed of abstract shapes going in conflicting directions to also illustrate the energy and randomness of his music.
